The following two tales were derived from Masnavi, which was written by a 13th century Persian poet and theologian. The first story is about a tiny but wise bird that finds a way and escape from its predicament. The second story is about a merchant who loves his parrot, but his parrot loves freedom more than anything and finds a way to be free from his captivity.

These moralistic tales teach children:

  1. The value of freedom
  2. Learn that no matter how weak we seem; we can find a way to win.
  3. Not to be regretful for things we have lost.
  4. To think before we speak.

These are unique stories, they were written hundreds of years ago: but are so relevant to parents and children today. The Advisor Bird and the Talkative Parrot stories, both teach valuable lessons. Every parent wishes the same for their children; to learn what is right from wrong.

Nothing has changed over the span of time; we still want the same thing, as parents hundreds of years ago wanted also.
